Water Fun

It's a hot one in Seattle, Folks! So, naturally, we got out the kiddie pool and set it up in the front yard! The kids had a blast...

We set up the "Oasis" for Grady to lounge in. Here is his waiting for his drink order before he dives in.

There was no waiting around for Gibson, he jumped right in and started cooling off immediately!



Later after snacks and his drink, Grady got in. Only he was not as thrilled with the water as Gibson was, it took quite a bit of convincing to get him in the water.

DON'T SPLASH THE BABY! Anytime Gibson would splash Grady, a meltdown would ensue. Sensitive child!

Then we had a few neighborhood kids stop by...after all, what is a party without friends?

Of course, no water party is complete without Otter Pops. Grady was having no part in sharing with me, he wanted his OWN and since it's been a little on the warm side and his diaper has been a little on the dry side, I let him have his own! Plus, I didn't need another meltdown today.

Then we headed in and the kids ate dinner. Can you guess what Grady had?

Avocados. His new favorite meal. And, miraculously, yogurt. I wanted to try to keep things "cool" for him.

Keep cool everyone...tomorrow is suppose to be even hotter. Oy.
