My Ultrasound

I had my ultrasound today. Everything went great. I was able to see the baby's tieny tiny heartbeat (approx. 102 bpm) and they were able to give me a due date of May 26th, which is about 7-10 days later than my doctor and I figured. So, all is good and my next ultrasound will be sometime in early January (when we can find out if baby is a girl or a boy!)

Playdate with Ethan, Gwen & Elsa

I had some stuff to take over to Kristi and we have been trying to get the kids together for a couple weeks now, so today was the day that worked out! We headed out there this morning with the goods and our bikes. We headed to the park shortly after we got there and the kids had a great time minus one or two meltdowns.
On our way there

Ethan playing at the park

Gwennie on the swings
The only purpose of this picture is to prove that we had all 4 kids there

On our way home. Aren't the trees beautiful?

Grady was totally inlove with Elsa. He kept wanting to kiss and love on her. Until, he bonked her in the head with his head a little to hard (it was accidental, and my fault because I was there but distracted for a minute while talking to Kristi) after that, poor Elsa didn't want anything to do with him.

The kids eating lunch. Kristi served them popcorn chicken. She and I had this delightful clam chowder that she made and some garlic bread that I brought

The Fish Factory

I had several things planned on Saturday so Gregg took the boys down to Issaquah to the Salmon Hatchery to see the salmon run. Gibson was very excited to go to the Fish Factory. The boys met Grandpa Burt, Grandma Cleo and Aunt Erica there.
Trying to get a picture of both boys is nearly impossible. I am not sure what we will do with 3 of them.

After they spent some time with the fish, they headed over to the train depot where they found a playground and looked at some trains.

Sigh...

This baby is growing up WAY too fast!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Wanda!

Tonight we joined Aunt Wanda & Uncle Steve at Cheesecake Factory for her birthday dinner celebration! We had a great time. We enjoyed walking around the mall for a bit (had to check out the Vera Bradley store) and then had yummy food and some good political talks over dinner. Of course, the dessert was delightful, but I didn't get to have my usual cheesecake because the one I always eat has raw eggs in it and I stay clear of those when I am pregnant :( Oh, well, only 8ish more months to go, I can hold out.
Grady had his first taste of pizza tonight! He LOVED it. He ate a whole piece along with a whole piece of bread, an entire container of raviolli's, a cup of mandarin oranges and a handful of crackers. He is growing, I think. That or I should be very scared about our food budget when these boys are teenagers, which I am, but I digress. (not sure why these pics are blurry, could have been the lighting in there)

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Aunt Wanda! We hope you had a great day! Thanks for letting us join you for dinner!

Results

I heard from the doctor's office today regarding my blood work. Everything looked good. My progesterone was at the bottom of normal (as in the very bottom number in the range) and so it's good that they started me on the progesterone even though it is making me really sick. It would seem by my hormone levels (HCG) that I am not as far along as I thought I was. So, they estimate me at 5-6 weeks, where I thought I was 7 weeks today. Nothing to worry about though. My ultrasound is scheduled for next Tuesday so that we can get a date and see a heartbeat.

I'll keep everyone posted.

Name Suggestion

This is the name suggestion post. If you have a boy's G name that is not on my list and want to suggest it to us, leave it in the comment section.

No call from the doctor's office today with my test results. Hopefully tomorrow.

Doctor Appointment

Today I had my first pre-natal appointment with my OB. He was suprised and very excited/thrilled at my news. I have the most wonderful doctor whom I really trust and admire, he is a very gentle, caring man. I feel very blessed to have him to care for me and my baby.

We discussed alot regarding how I have been feeling and some tests he is going to run (HCG, progesterone along with a few others, I should have the results tomorrow). I will be having an ultrasound next week sometime to make sure everything looks ok and I will be headed back in 6 weeks for my 12 week appointment.

I started on progesterone today, so I expect my nausea to get worse (with the possibilty of more vomiting) and I expect to be experiencings a few other side effects that come along with the drug (dizziness, every more tiredness, headaches, ACNE [ugh] and possibly some cramping). I took this same drug with Gibson and Grady so I am use to it, it's not fun, but I will deal.

I forgot to ask him if I could continue my Jazzercise twice a week, I was able to with Grady, but I just want to make sure, so I will ask the nurse tomorrow when she calls with my test results.

I'll let you all know after I have my ultrasound. Stay tuned.

Grady takes a BAD picture

So, I was talking to my sister, Kelli today and she was talking about how photogenic Grady is and how she has never seen him take a bad picture. So, I had to post this one today. I was TRYING to get a cute picture of the boys on top of the octopus at the play area today and Grady would just not cooperate.
So, Auntie Kelli, here is your bad picture of Grady.

Why?

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

Because I said so or I just don't know, THAT'S WHY!

It's a good day

Gibson woke up the morning and first thing he said was "Momma, what are we doing today? I wanna go some place." So, after getting the 3 of us ready and pondering what there was to do where I could use limited energy (I'm very tired today!), I decided we would head down to the indoor playground at one of the local gyms here. WELL, we get there and we find out that they are redoing the floors so they are closed until October 6th. DRAT! What now? So, we decide to go to the mall. Not the place for low energy mom, but we went anyway.
The kids had a great time. Grady was really feeling the place out with climbing on the different stuff, he liked to get up there and let go so that his mother would be paniced he would fall. Stinker.

Then, because it wasn't enough energy to walk them all the way through the mall and let them play, I decided to take them to their favorite place to eat in the mall, the train restaurants (aka Ruby's). Everytime we go to the mall Gibson asks to eat here, usually the answer is no, but they were being so good, I figured we would give it a try. I realized that alot of these things are probably going to be stopping for a while once #3 gets her, so if I want to do some of this, there is no time like the present. Anyway, the kids did really good until the bitter end when Gibson decided he had to go potty but didn't want to go at the mall. Oy. So we packed up and came home.

(have I ever mentioned that Grady is a total chow hound for fries? Seriously the kid SCREAMS for them. It must have something to do with the fact that I craved them when I was pregnant with him. Ooops)
I was so impressed with how well the kids were today. They actually didn't wear me out too much and we had a really good day. Of course, now everyone is wiped out and a little bit moody, but it is before bed time, so that is to be expected.

Brackett's Landing

We needed to get out of the house today. Badly. Everyone was restless. So, we headed out to Edmonds to "throw rocks at beach". We ate lunch in the car and let the boys get some fresh air for a little bit. It was raining, but they didn't seem to care and honestly, neither did we. It was the first time we took Grady down there to throw rocks and he thought that was great fun! And of course, the highlights are always seeing the ferry boats and the trains that go by.

Grady

Here are a few pictures of Grady. I took the boys out to play the other day and finally got Grady to wear a hat. I thought he looked so cute. I just wish it wasn't a battle and he would leave it on!

My new glasses

So, the ladies on my message board were talking about this great place to get glasses a while back, frames for as little as $8. So, I bookmarked the link and figured when I was ready for a new, fun, pair of glasses I would check them out. Well, I finally decided to order a pair and they just arrived. The only bad part is that you can't try them on first, obviously, so you kinda have to go with what you think would look good on you. I went with a similar shape to a previous pair I had in hopes that they would look ok. These cost me only $58 (includes the transition lenses that I lurve so much!) compared to my $200 Costco pair.
What do you think? I'm still not sure what I think of them. I think they will take me some getting use to since I am use to wearing rimless frames.
