A few new trapeze videos

Here's a couple of my most recent videos.

First are a couple of catches.




and now, here is my swing...you can see it getting better with each video. I am still struggling with my "seven" but I'm getting better. I LOVE not having the lines on me. It's such an amazing feeling.

Someone had a growth spurt!

Remember this picture from June 24th?

This one was taken TODAY. One month later...

Someone had a bit of a growth spurt.

Seattle

Moe requested that we take her to Pike Place Market and to the original Starbucks. We were happy to accommodate! So, on Sunday we packed up the minivan and headed down. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, so everyone was very excited.

So, right after the picture below was taken, I took a picture of Moe and the live crawfish with her camera and accidentally dropped it and of course, it bounced and it broke :( I could have cried. I felt so bad. At first I thought it might be ok, but nope, it was a goner. So, after trying to fix it and stressing out and hoping she understood it was an accident, I got on my smartphone and was able to find her a replacement and order it while we were at lunch. I love technology. I wasn't able to get the pretty pink her color was, but she was ok with the replacement color because she understood I was doing my best to fix the situation. I still feel bad about the whole situation :(

Seattle now has a Hard Rock Cafe and that is where we had lunch. Not the greatest food. We won't be back unless my sister, Kelli, visits and HAS to eat there.

This is the Gum Wall in Seattle's Post Alley. It's the grossest.thing.ever. Seriously. So disgusting.


We had to take Moe for a ride on the carousel on the waterfront. She LOVED it.

Ferry Ride

Gregg and I think that one of the coolest/fun things to do with visitors to Seattle is take a ferry boat ride. So, of course, we had to take our exchange student, Moe. We took the Edmonds to Kingston ferry so that we could check out the farmer's market on the Kingston side and so the kids could get ice cream.

Bye bye Edmonds

My friend Patty and her husband went with us too. She teaches gymnastics so she was helping Grady learn to do a somersault.

Then, bye bye Kingston!

Once back on the Edmonds side we decided to sit/play on the beach for a few minutes.

Our Exchange Student

We currently have an exchange student staying with us from Japan. She came to us in a round about way via our church. She is attending a school in downtown Seattle for 2 weeks and is learning English.

She has been here almost the whole 2 weeks already. The kids LOVE her. I'm not sure what they are going to think when she leaves. They look forward to seeing her every evening and spending time playing with her. I really enjoy having her around too, she is a very sweet girl and will eat anything I put in front of her. I like that.

And of course, it didn't take anytime at all for the boys to rope her into playing cars with them.



I have more pictures on my camera, but Moe has been using it because I accidentally dropped hers and it broke (talk about feeling really really bad and stupid!) and we had been waiting for the replacement to arrive. It showed up today though, so hopefully I will be able to download the other pictures I have taken on our adventures and get them posted. We've been on a ferry boat ride and to Pike Place Market.

Grady's Birthday

Grady's birthday started out with his last day of Music Camp and they did a little performance at the end of the day, so, G3 and I went to that before picking up Gibson. It was SO cute as you saw from the videos I posted. Here are a few pictures I also took.





Then, of course, per tradition later that evening we headed to Red Robin for Grady's Birthday Dinner.

On the way home he started freaking out that he wasn't feeling good and his tummy hurt. You can tell by these pictures that he doesn't feel all that well. It was very weird how fast it came on. He was fine one minute and miserable and feeling awful the next. It was the weirdest thing.



After cupcakes, he walked to the couch and laid down. Now, if you know Grady you know this is definitely NOT normal. At all. He ended up with a pretty high fever (103) that lasted all Friday and Saturday and then was back to normal on Sunday. Was definitely weird.

Girl's Night Out

A friend of mine from southern Washington was up here visiting so a few of us girls decided to go out for the night. We all met at my house before heading downtown to have dinner and go on the Seattle UnderWorld Tour.

While we were waiting for Amy to change her clothes we were sanding out front talking and Gregg snapped this picture of Alyssa and I. It's funny because we are both standing the same.

If you haven't taken the Seattle Underground Tour, I highly recommend it. If you HAVE and are over 21, I highly recommend the UnderWorld Tour. And if you are an out of towner and want to visit and take either of these tours, I would be happy to accompany you :)

Playdate with friends

Since I'm really behind this is from about 2.5 weeks ago. Gregg took some time off before he started his new job and so we headed down to our friend's house to hang out. Gregg and Josh took off for the lake to do some fishing and Su and I hung out with the kids and let them tear the place up while we chatted.

G3 had tons of fun with the kitchen. He knew how everything worked. Guess he really does pay attention to something!
